seanbrock 1,684 Posted January 25, 2012 I think with the way the NFL is structured, the QB's are essentially untouchable, hard hits are being limited more and more. You can't play bump and run coverage like you could even 10 years ago. It allows for an offense like New England to throw all those easy short and seam route completions. imo that offense would not work in any other NFL era. It's genius really though to make that adaption from being a defensive team primarily to an offensive juggernaut. Great coaches adjust with the times.
