Tridentdawgpound 1,043 Posted March 1, 2013 Kris Medlen Tim Hudson Mike Minor Paul Maholm Julio Teheran Beachy will be healthy around the All-Star Break so he'll take the spot of either Maholm or Teheran The only prospect who might get a shot at some point midway through is Sean Gilmartin and I think that's a stretch. NY Diehard 26 Posted March 1, 2013 CC Sabathia Hiroki Kuroda Andy Pettitte Phil Hughes Ivan Nova ------------ David Phelps Michael Pineda (out until June, should be back to top 5) I can't wait til Pineda comes back, he's going to be the equivalent of making a major deadline trade if he pitches anything like he did in Seattle as a rookie. Sarge+ 3,436 Posted March 29, 2013 Tentatively: AJ Burnett Francisco Liriano James McDonald Wandy Rodriguez Jeff Karstens Later in the year: Gerrit Cole Possibilities: Jeff Locke, Jonathan Sanchez, Kyle McPherson To start the year, it's gonna be: 1. AJ Burnett 2. Wandy Rodriguez 3. James McDonald 4. Jonathan Sanchez 5. Jeff Locke. Gerrit Cole will be up in June to bump one of these guys out. Francisco Liriano is hurt now, but will probably take another spot when he is healthy. Jeff Karstens could also be a factor after the season gets started. Obviously this is not our ideal rotation. I could see us being pretty bad for the first month of the season, but maybe getting better after that.

Three of those first four guys (AJ/McDonald/Sanchez) all have the potential to be really good or really bad this year.
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted March 31, 2013 The entire rotation is a huge question mark. I think AJ will be solid. Wandy might be pretty good as well. I do think Russell Martin could help our staff out a lot though. We'll have to see.
