BLUE 1,026 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) Per Rotoworld.com: Cowboys franchise player OLB Anthony Spencer has switched agents. It's a sign Spencer, who was absent from the beginning of voluntary workouts Monday, has no plans to simply sign his $8.8 million tender. The sides have until July 16 to hammer out a long-term contract. Apr 16 - 11:08 AM Source: ESPN Dallas Edited April 23, 2012 by BLUE
BLUE 1,026 Posted April 23, 2012 Per Rotoworld.com: Cowboys signed franchise player Anthony Spencer to a one-year, $8.856 million contract.Dallas could have rescinded the one-year, fully guaranteed tender after the draft if it emerged with a replacement for Spencer, so he smartly got it signed early in the week. Spencer will return as DeMarcus Ware's bookend, primarily rushing off the strong side and setting the edge on running downs. The 28-year-old recorded 66 tackles, six sacks, and four forced fumbles in 2011. Apr 23 - 2:46 PM
Guest Phailadelphia Posted April 23, 2012 Welp, that fills one hole this season but the Cowboys still need to find his replacement. I doubt they sign him to a long-term contract.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted April 23, 2012 Welp, that fills one hole this season but the Cowboys still need to find his replacement. I doubt they sign him to a long-term contract. We get at least one more year to see what Victor Butler can do in pass rushing downs.
