Franchise 5 1 Posted November 5, 2012 (edited) Antonio Brown says he suffered a high-ankle sprain in Pittsburgh's Week 9 win over the Giants. Per USA Today's Mike Garafolo, Brown expects to play in Week 10, but he'll almost certainly be out if he's actually suffered a dreaded high sprain. Brown was initially deemed "probable" to return to Sunday's game before being downgraded to "questionable" in the second half. He didn't play a snap after the first quarter. His status will be updated no later than coach Mike Tomlin's Monday press conference, but owners shouldn't count on Brown suiting up against the Chiefs next Monday. BigBen07 285 Posted November 5, 2012 Shit... Brown is a key player in our pass offense. Hopefully the sprain doesn't keep him out of action for long. I'd sit him out next week to be safe.
SteelersNation36 128 Posted November 5, 2012 High ankle sprains are bad news.
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted November 5, 2012 High ankle sprains are easily underestimated, but it's really up to the individual player how they respond to coming back from one. Just hope for the Steelers' and Browns sake that it won't be a nagging injury once he does return. Isn't this what eventually led to Gronkwoskis surgery after last season?
