Hedo Turkoglu suspended for failed drug test

The NBA suspended Hedo Turkoglu for 20 games on Wednesday after he tested positive methenolone, which is an anabolic steroid.

Turkoglu and Magic GM Rob Hennigan say Turkoglu unknowingly ingested a banned substance what back home in Turkey. The ban comes during the worst season of Turkoglu's career, with the swingman averaging just 2.9 points, 2.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game. Turkoglu also missed a large portion of the season with a broken left hand. Methenolone is the same substance Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez reportedly tested positive for in 2003. Feb 13 - 3:17 PM
