CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted September 7, 2013 by Uncle Chaps. Well said. The fan base has been completely invigorated. The constant onslaught from outside at the city and it's fans has created a monster.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted September 7, 2013 DUUUVALL! Is Whole Wheat Bread still around? They're awesome. Also can you further explain this nephew/uncle thing in Jacksonville? I'm interested. Is it just a weird term of endearment among fellow Jacksonvillonians?
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted September 8, 2013 It's more of a Jags fan thing than a Jacksonville thing. Born out of twitter, social media etc. The two big fan clubs that have been made the past two years the Bold City Brigade and Teal Street Hooligans all are connected via social media. The nephew thing started as a joke kind of. It just started being used a lot. It's basically the same thing as saying homie. It's been used by Cali rap artists like Snoop, Too Short, Kurupt etc. "Sup nephew?" But also its also a family thing. Jags fans are now a very close knit group so it's got that family dynamic going. The tightness of the fanbase was born out of what he was talking about when he said, "They don't go through what we go through." Meaning as Jags fans we're constantly put down by everyone, people say we don't exist, the teams moving, forcing Tebow on us, ticket sales, and other trash that's not true or is just a terrible idea. That's what these fan clubs are about, they're a big "Fuck You" to all the attacks. It's Jags fans banding together and fighting back and putting their foot down. Well I fully support this movement. I love it when fans of small market franchises band together and try to get their voices heard. Honestly I'd be pretty sad if the Jaguars left Jacksonville. I wouldn't wish that upon any group of football fans. Watching your favorite team pack their bags and head elsewhere is the worst...

CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted September 10, 2013 Are they even still in the league? Tarps? They should sign Terrell Pryor. When are they moving to LA?
