CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said following Friday night's 31-21 victory over the Oakland Raiders that nose tackle B.J. Raji was "pretty confident" about the injury he suffered during the contest. However, that confidence is quickly dissipating. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday that the belief is that Raji tore his right biceps, according to two people briefed on the injury. Tests will show whether it is a full or partial tear. The extent of the injury will determine the rehab time. A torn biceps recently cost 49ers nose tackle Glenn Dorsey his season. On the brighter side, a slight tear might only keep Raji out for the start of the season -- on an even brighter (perhaps unrealistic) side, Terrelle Suggs famously played with a torn biceps in 2012. Raji signed a one-year, prove-it deal with the Packers in the offseason. He has drawn raves at Packers camp for his play after sliding back to nose tackle. Losing the space-eating Raji for any time is a blow for a defense that has designs on turning around under Dom Capers after several lackluster seasons. If he's done for the year that blow becomes even bigger. Source EDIT: UPDATE https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/503247874470477825 Out for the year. Dude turned down 8 mil per in 2013 too. Massive fail. Edited August 23, 2014 by CampinWithGoatSampson
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted August 24, 2014 BJ Raji was fucking ass. People playing up like we will miss him are over exaggerating. Will his replacement be amazing? Probably not... but whatever. Sucks though, I wanted to see if he could bounce back. He should have taken the money when he could have. Gonna be one of his biggest regrets in life, I imagine. seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 25, 2014 BJ Raji has all the talent in the world. When the Packers went on that Super Bowl run he looked very legit. Does he just not give a fuck? He has everything he needs physically to be an effective player in the league in multiple schemes.
