Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 13, 2015 Only Eli Manning has thrown more picks in the last 5 years. Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady COMBINED have thrown fewer interceptions... He is throwing more INT per game now than ever in his career. Brees also threw 20 yards or more downfield on less than 10% of his attempts. 35 QBs were ahead of him in that category. Thirty... Five..That moment when you realize that there are more QBs ahead of Brees than there are teams in the league. No QB in the league has had such a dynamic group of pass catching backs at their disposal than Drew Brees, and his squad of receivers are almost always racking up YAC like it's going out of style. Also.. the guy pads stats like crazy when games are out of hand. When games are close, he isn't nearly as good. I think you expect that a little maybe, but when the Saints end up winning by 2+ scores he is at 75% completion, 10 points higher.. His TD to INT ratio goes from 1 INT every 1.5 TDs in close games to almost 3 in blowouts. In the last 5 years, Drew Brees has the 5th highest INT rate in the 2nd half of 1 score games. Guys ahead of him? Kevin Kolb. Michael Vick. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Eli Manning. Just looking at last year, he was 2nd highest in the league.. Only sitting behind PFFs worst graded QB, Blake Bortles. 70% completion is amazing, I honestly wish Aaron would get closer to 70%. I am not saying he sucks... But you really have to look at the situation individually and ask.. Why?
