BLUE 1,026 Posted July 27, 2016 Per Rotoworld.com: Seahawks agreed to terms with coach Pete Carroll on an extension through 2019. The deal pairs Carroll with GM John Schneider for the next four seasons. Carroll is the league's oldest coach — really — but arguably its second best behind Bill Belichick. Carroll has staked his claim to being one of the greatest football minds of all time in Seattle, building on the amazing success he had at USC. The Seahawks have made the playoffs 5-of-6 years on Carroll's watch, advancing to two Super Bowls. Going on 65, it's possible this is Carroll's final contract. BC 331 Posted July 28, 2016 To think about any other person being the head coach of this football team with the core players in my signature still on the roster is really weird and doesn't feel right. I'd hope it's not his final contract. Seems as though he's in the best partnership (with Schneider) in his life and is loving getting to have the roster his way. He doesn't seem to be 'feeling' old, like he's aging really well and ready to handle another handful of years. Please stay through 2022.
