Vin+ 3,121 Posted June 21, 2017 Because of course they do. Patriots signed ILB David Harris, formerly of the Jets, to a two-year contract. Naturally. The Jets released their 10-year veteran and longest-tenured player earlier this month only to see him join big brother. Now 33, Harris isn't the player he once was, but he remains a serviceable two-down thumper on the inside and could fill the old Brandon Spikes role for the Patriots. But New England does have a crowded linebackers group led by Dont'a Hightower. Harris may compete for playing time with Shea McClellin, Elandon Roberts, and Kyle Van Noy. Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted June 22, 2017 Another sickeningly good move by the Patriots. Harris is a great leader and has a mind for the game. Only 33? I thought he was at least 36. Shit, he could play 3-4 years and fill in nicely.
