Worst team as of now is...

+1. I would NEVER stop rooting for and following the Bucs no matter what happens, but these last 7 years have been pretty damn brutal. Schiano and Raheem were both absolute disasters and we finally thought we had a respectable coach who at the very worst would have us competing in Lovie Smith, but it has has turned out just as bad. Haven't made the playoffs in 7 years, only have 1 winning season in the past 7 years which was a fluke, and we haven't won a playoff game since the Superbowl. I wasn't even old enough to appreciate that, so I've seen absolutely nothing. I'm fine with sitting through the losing, even though it is incredibly frustrating because I know eventually things will turn for the good, but the most annoying part, at least IMO, is that the owners don't give a fuck. The Glazers boys are much more invested in ManU and really could care less about the Bucs and I believe they are the root of the problem of why we've been such a laughing stock for almost the past decade now. They've been the only constant for the past 7 years and once Malcom handed the team down to his clown sons, it has turned into a huge dumpster fire. It's just hard to keep on rooting for the team when you know they're going to fail, the owners don't care and there's nothing you can do about it. Not sure we're gonna be able to recover from this until they sell the team.

Lose to 2 backup QB's at home and then let up 50 to a division rival. Bucs are by far the worst team in the league right now. Beyond embarrassing.

These Thursday Night Games Have To Go

7 days a week is ridiculous and would screw up the scheduling. I think 3 days a week is perfect, any more would be overdoing it.

    1. Lovie was out of football for a year and claimed he had studied the game and learned some stuff. Like I said, I knew he was pretty conservative in Chicago, but I thought he was going to change it up a bit. 2. I didn't think someone who went to the Superbowl could possibly be this conservative.

Well, Jeff Tedford is our OC, but he hasn't been calling the plays yet this year because he's been in the hospital with a heart problem. Our QB coach has been calling the plays apparently, but these types conservative play calls have Lovie's fingerprints all over them. And the fact that he's said he doesn't regret it makes me thing that too.

Yep, this is the type of crap I've been dealing with the past 2 years (looks like now 3). I knew Lovie was a defensive coach and a bit conservative, but I didn't think it was Schiano level bad. This is just another typical Sunday as a Bucs fan though.

Not too high on Michael Johnson. He was invisible out there the entire pre-season and then got hurt in the first game. Really hoping he can step it up because we need it. Lovie has been incredibly conservative, just like Schiano was. He doesn't play to win. For example, two times yesterday we were in the red zone, and he ran it 3 straight times to settle for a Field Goal (including a 3rd and 7). Heard him on the radio today saying he didn't regret it which pissed me off even more. Another example yesterday was right before the half, the Rams had a 4th down with about 1:30 left. Instead of calling a timeout (we had all 3 left), Lovie let the clock run down all the way and we sat on the ball instead of trying to get more points (we were DOWN by 3 points at this time too). Lovies reasoning when asked about this "we didn't want more points, only bad things could happen by going for that". This is the exactly the crap Schiano did and is why I wanted him fired so bad. I can't stand the conservative crap and the play to not lose attitude.

Don't understand this at all. I'll take an extra day of watching NFL football. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Alterraun Verner is unproven or trash… okay then. The 4 you listed, plus Verner are the only really good players we have, but that doesn't mean the rest of the team is trash. Complete overreaction. The Bucs roster is much more talented than the Jags and Raiders. When Lovie Smith is coaching like Greg Schiano and Josh McCown is your QB though, you aren't going to be winning many games.

Raiders, with the Bucs right behind them.

Adrian Clayborn out for season with torn biceps

Yea, both of our DE's have been nonexistent all preseason and the first game when it came to rushing the passer. It's about time Johnson steps it the fuck up because I'm losing my patience with that guy. I haven't seen a single thing impressive thing from that guy, not even in the pre-season. I'm really excited to see William Gholston as the starter for the rest of the year anyways. I think he has big upside and could be a great replacement for Clayborn.

    Panthers @ Bucs

Buc and Milla pretty much summed up my thoughts. Just awful, such a garbage performance.

    Panthers @ Bucs

Gonna be at the game, can't wait. This one is gonna be a defensive showdown with very little scoring. With Cam not being at 100%, I think we take this one.

What player would you take from your opponents team?

Ummm, no. I'd much rather have Greg Hardy. If we had him, we'd finally have an established edge pass rush, and this would be a top 5 defense, for sure. Kuechly would be great, but I'm fine with David and Foster, and an outside pass rush is a much bigger concern right now.

    Week 1 Predictions: NFC South

Saints and Bucs. The Saints are a top 3 team in the NFL, IMO, and will be able to slow down Atlanta's offense a little bit due to their good pass rush, and the Falcons crappy o-line. Saints will take it in a shootout. Bucs/Panthers will be a defensive showdown, but with Cam hurt, I really can't see the Panthers doing much of anything. The Bucs will take it in a very low scoring game.

Bucs trade a draft pick and TE Tim Wright to Pats for Logan Mankins

I think it's a good deal for both teams. I like Wright a lot and think he will be very good for the Patriots (will be their new Hernandez), but we are pretty deep at TE and just drafted ASJ to be our future TE. Our guard situation is beyond a disaster (O'Neil freaking Cousins is starting) and Mankins is a proven and very good guard. I was against signing Incognito yesterday, but after making this move I really hope we do. He would solidify the line and we would have at least an average player at each position on the line.

    Division Winners

With training camp only a few weeks away, I feel this is a pretty good time to make this thread. My predictions: East: (9-7) North: (11-5) South: (13-3) West: (11-5) East: :Patriots: (12-4) North: (10-6) South: (11-5) West: (12-4)

    Predict Your Team's 2014 Record

Best case- The o-line gels together and plays decent/good, McCown plays decent/good and our defense plays as expected. Finish around 11-5. Realistic- O-line is extremely inconsistent which leads to McCown/Glennon being no more than mediocre, but we're still a decent team because of our defense and good coaching. Finish around 7-9. Worst case- O-line continues to play awful like it did last week and McCown/Glennon both don't play well. Finish around 4-12. I really think the season comes down to how the o-line plays. If they play well, I think McCown/Glennon will do at least an adequate job under Center which should be good enough because I am very confident in our defense (I think it will definitely be top 10, possibly top 5).

Charles Sims out 12-14 weeks with ankle injury

Sucks to hear as I was really excited to see Sims on the field this year, but if we had to have a big injury, RB was a good position to have it at. I am very confident in the trio of Martin, Rainey and James. I think one of them can emerge into a good receiving threat and fulfill Sims' role while he's gone.

    Impact Tackles among LBs

http://www.thefootballeducator.com/impact-tackling-need-comprehensive-statistics-nfl/#ixzz37VRtGh7T Pretty good read and goes to show that tackles alone is not a good indicator of how good a LB really is. I knew Navarro Bowman was really good, but jesus christ, I didn't realize he was that spectacular.
