  1. It took a while for the Pittsburgh Steelers to get a market going for Antonio Brown, but it appears they’re ready to deal. Two reports on Wednesday morning, from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter, said the team is close to a deal. Schefter specified that a trade is expected by Friday. It behooves the Steelers to wrap up a trade by March 17, when Brown is due a $2.5 million roster bonus. It also isn’t a bad idea to get it done quickly, just to eliminate another of their seemingly endless distractions. Two teams bow out of Antonio Brown trade talks Rapoport said that trade talks are heating up, though he mentioned that two teams have bowed out. The New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals won’t be trading for Brown, Rapoport said. That leaves only a few known candidates. The one team that has come up whenever a possible Brown trade is brought up is the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have the draft picks to make a deal, even it’s a little strange for one of the worst teams in the NFL to trade picks for a receiver who will be 31 years old next season. Rapoport said “three new teams” have emerged in trade talks this week, which is hard to believe considering it has been no secret for months the Steelers would shop Brown. But if leaking that information helps the Steelers drive up the price for whoever is still in, more power to them. Will a Brown trade get done this week? It’s also smart for the Steelers to get a trade done this week, considering free agency starts next week. Pittsburgh wants to know where they stand on that situation, and wouldn’t want to lose a potential trade partner who shifts its focus to free agency. Whenever Brown is traded, it will be one of the biggest stories of the NFL offseason. It’s not often a player as good as Brown is moved in his prime. If Wednesday’s reports are accurate, we shouldn’t have to wait much longer to see how it all turns out.
  2. Ok yeah Saints. That's a pretty complete team, will be hard to make them better than they already are but I'll see what I can cook up. F4E graciously offered to take the Cardinals and Bills after I gave him an attitude adjustment.

If you guys really need me I will take a team. But my interest in the NFL has been waning and I haven't given a shit about the draft since like 2012.

Razor's 2019 Mock Draft (With Trades)

I like it mostly not that I really have a super firm grasp on all of these players and what they are capable and what their drawbacks are yet, but you can tell there's good logic behind each and every slot. Very telling and enlightening. I've heard that Marquise Brown is most likely gunna be a 1st rounder and the Steelers saw Jaylen Samuels play so stellar in the absence of James Conner. When I look at the Steelers and their RB group as a whole to go along with that great line, spending the 1st round pick on a RB doesn't make sense honestly. But even when I did have a firmer grasp on prospects and the needs of all 32 teams in years past it was hardly possible making 32 consecutive slam dunk picks that everyone else on the forum agreed with, so I'd have to say its a great mock by the standards of most. I think it's a strong possibility the Steelers go out and get DK Metcalf or Marquise Brown in hopes that they can remain as hard to stop as possible and not waste the end of Ben's career by having JuJu be the only solid option. If they don't like Trey Edmunds or Stevan Ridley as their 3rd back they might get someone on day 3, but they won't go RB day 1. I think there's an enormous zero percent chance that pick happens. Totally dig the Hawks pick. Especially if he's everything we hoped Jimmy Graham would be when we went out and got him, which I think might not be too farfetched?

Report: Chiefs releasing Justin Houston Posted by Charean Williams on March 4, 2019, 4:49 PM EST Getty Images The Chiefs are releasing linebacker Justin Houston, Matt Verderame of FanSided reports. The move is not a surprise as a report last week said the Chiefs would try to trade Houston, with the linebacker’s days in Kansas City numbered one way or the other. Houston is scheduled to make $15.25 million in base salary this season. A pre-June 1 cut would result in a $7.1 million cap charge. Houston, 30, was a third-round pick of the Chiefs in 2011. He has 78.5 career sacks and 14 forced fumbles, earning four Pro Bowl berths and one All-Pro honor. He has not made the Pro Bowl since 2015 and hasn’t had double-digit sacks since a league-best 22 in 2014. Houston made nine sacks and forced five fumbles in 12 games last season.

Seahawks Place Franchise Tag On Defensive End Frank Clark Despite the fact that Frank Clark’s rookie contract came to an end after the 2018 season, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider made it clear at the NFL Scouting Combine that the defensive end was in their plans for 2019. “Frankie will be with us, yeah,” Carroll said Thursday. A day earlier, Schneider also said that Clark would be a Seahawk in 2019, and while neither explicitly said it, the implication was that, short of reaching a long-term contract extension prior to Tuesday’s deadline, the Seahawks would place the franchise tag on Clark. And indeed that’s what the Seahawks did one day before Tuesday’s 1 p.m. PT deadline, designating Clark a franchise player, meaning he’ll play 2019 on a one-year deal worth $17.128 million, per NFL.com, unless the two sides can agree to a long-term deal before July 15, the deadline for signing franchised players to multi-year extensions. If the Seahawks and Clark can’t agree to an extension by July 15, Clark has to play under the one-year tag and the two sides cannot negotiate a new deal until after Seattle’s final regular-season game. Clark is coming off a 2018 season in which he compiled a team-high and career-best 13.0 sacks, and with 35 sacks in his career, he now ranks 10th on the Seahawks’ all-time list. Clark’s 32 sacks over the past three seasons are ninth-most in the NFL since 2016, trailing only Chandler Jones, Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Ryan Kerrigan, Danielle Hunter, Khalil Mack, Calais Campbell and Cameron Jordan.

Bryce has been one of the most productive players over the last few years. Definitely someone I would want to build my team around. But a 13 year contract has me like
  13. I guess they have reversed their mind about trading him to the Pats. But I don't see why you would do that. You just ensure the Pats will be much, much, much better than you for the next couple years. Ben might as well retire if this happens. https://patriotswire.usatoday.com/2019/02/27/antonio-brown-patriots-trade-possible/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=NFLdraftmaverick&fbclid=IwAR3PJjsJZZ964jrZnOQB2SYBjl2Jdcoe88TpGbYObKqm0johu61GZik8JaM

    FA Market

There won’t be any tags for quarterback Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles. The quarterback who will forever be remembered as a Super Bowl MVP in Philly is free to go. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman announced during a news conference at the NFL scouting combine Wednesday that the team is allowing Foles to become a free agent. There was speculation the team would use its franchise tag on Foles and then try to trade him. That option was risky, and might have limited Foles’ options. Now Foles can entertain all offers. He immediately becomes perhaps the most sought-after free agent on the market, at least by some teams. Nick Foles went 4-1 in the playoffs for the Eagles as their starting quarterback in the past two seasons, including a Super Bowl victory in 2018. (AP) More Who will sign Nick Foles? The team that has to be happiest about Wednesday’s revelation from Roseman is probably the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars and Foles have seemed like the best fit for a while. Had the Eagles tagged Foles, it would have cost the Jaguars significant draft compensation to get Foles in a trade. It will still be expensive for the Jaguars to sign Foles, but that’s more manageable than a big contract and draft picks. That doesn’t mean the Jaguars will be the only interested team. The Giants should be looking for a long-term replacement for Eli Manning, but who knows what their plans are for that. The Dolphins might need a quarterback if they cut Ryan Tannehill, but reports say they’re more interested in the 2020 or 2021 draft for that. The Broncos might have been a fit, but they made their bed with Joe Flacco already. The Redskins could be an option with Alex Smith’s injury making his future murky, though Foles would be a major second financial investment at quarterback. Foles leaves Philly as a legend Wherever Foles plays next, he’ll always be remembered as an Eagle. When Carson Wentz tore his ACL two seasons ago. Foles led the Eagles through the playoffs and helped win the team’s first Super Bowl. Last season he turned around a bad Eagles season after another Wentz injury and led them to the playoffs and a wild-card round win over the Bears. Foles will be a legend in Philadelphia forever for his Super Bowl heroics. Now he can cash in during free agency.

  19. Worst come to worst we could probably just come up with a fair way to autodraft for a few of them, or "tag team" some teams by those of us who happen to be online at the time they are up? Maybe someone has DMac's contact info? It would suck to auto / tag team teams for trading and stuff but at least we would be able to not lose this event altogether?
  20. The Browns are the biggest threat to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs buddy. A team in their division and on the rise. They would much rather get low-balled in a trade with the Niners than to get better compensation from a team that would most definitely beat up on them twice a year by adding Antonio Brown to an already talented squad featuring Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

    Patriots Get Happy Ending

This is what multi billionaire individuals do. It's the "I'm God, I'm indestructible" type of mentality which is typical of people this successful. When I saw that interview he gave on deflate gate and demanded an apology for Tom and Bill, I really got this impression. When Colts owner Jim Irsay had the DUI and drugs found in his car and all that, he was given a medium sized suspension 4 or 6 games I think. That will probably be the fate of Robert Kraft. We could probably add him to that "Biggest Douche" poll.
  22. Wow. He made a video inviting NFL teams to "work with him." Fast forward to 7:40. He no longer wants to be called "AB." He now wants to be called "Mr. Big Chest." He also states that he doesn't want any contract that isn't fully guaranteed. Go get em Oakland!
  23. Anyone got DMac's contact info? That would help A LOT if we could get him on the Lions + another squad or two.
  24. Do you people read? The Steelers said they will not trade him to the Patriots.
