Not sure whether I'll actually use that team (I've already swapped Fluellen out for Murray) but I have zero confidence in picking the super bowl teams this year so my usual strategy is out

If you could bring back one of your team's players in their prime for this week's playoff games

I'm not looking at him to upgrade Murray or Henry, but to compliment them and add a different wrinkle to the offense, and he always had a solid oline, but nothing I would consider great -
best substitution ever:

I know I'm gonna get some shit for this, but my pick would be Chris Johnson. I think our defense is fine where it is, so even though a lot of my top choices would actually be defensive (Jevon Kearse, Keith Bulluck, Samari Rolle, Blaine Bishop come to mind quickly) our offense needs more help. So that leaves me with who can I grab for offense? We've never exactly fielded an offensive juggernaut, so the options are limited, for me it came down to Steve McNair, Bruce Matthews, Eddie George, and Chris Johnson. If I could take the Vikings or Patriots version of Randy Moss he'd be up there, but we don't have any receivers worth consideration for their time with us (with apologies to Derrick Mason, he's just not better than our current crop) so I've got those four. McNair and Matthews don't make enough of an improvement, it's really weird to say that about McNair, but that's where I am right now with Mariota, and our oline has left something to be desired this year, but it's been good enough, so then it comes down to which running back do I add to our current backfield. Eddie is absolutely the better of the two backs, the problem is he's too similar to Murray/Henry, we don't need a third power back. However, if we could add a prime years Chris Johnson to the mix as a RB/WR he'd add the speed the offense is lacking at times and would make this offense incredibly difficult to stop. -
I'm all in!

You heard it here first: From a thread titled "your team's most underrated players" and from "players to break out in 2017-2018" it's great to see non-Titans fans catching on

Thanks for the reminder, I just re-activated the group: Group Home - NFL Playoff Challenge - NFL.com and still, password is taco I'm gonna edit the OP here and just use the same thread because I'm lazy
-
Yes, by this point everyone should just assume they're going to see spoilers when they open this thread
-
- Fuck the rest okay, in the incredibly likely event that the Titans don't win the Super Bowl, here's how I rank the others:

Thank you Vin for updating the OP, I went ahead and pulled Cincy off since apparently that's up in the air now, this is why I like to wait for official word
-
I'm not gonna be home (meaning at my computer) until tomorrow to update the op, if anyone who has the ability wants it updated sooner feel free to do so

I haven't watched many Packers games, but from fantasy I can tell you that his numbers took a nose dive when Rodgers went down

Ravens Vikings Titans Patriots Bears Falcons Lions Panthers Chiefs Redskins Chargers Jaguars Cowboys Cardinals Steelers Eagles Tiebreak: 45

or if I'd started Corey Davis and his five points over Marqise Lee (which I did consider ) then again, you had some points on your bench as well, well done, I always love a close game

Dammit Marqise

If we miss the playoffs it needs to happen, even if we make the playoffs out should happen

This is why you have trade deadlines

Also, the meta jokes about Disney creates some fantastic potential

This is stupid, there are typically already enhancements in place for acts against law enforcement. I don't know Louisiana law well, but I know in Virginia while a simple assault is a class 1 misdemeanor (highest classification of misdemeanor) an assault on a law enforcement officer is a class 6 felony (lowest classification of felony). There are also separate charges like obstruction of justice and resisting arrest to give law enforcement added protections, not to mention officers basically choose what the initial charge is (in Virginia they do have to go through a magistrate, but that's largely a formality). So from the start this is unnecessary. Second, the standard of proof is going to be weird. For a traditional hate crime, it's not enough to say that the defendant attacked a black person, the prosecution has to show that the defendant attacked the person because he or she was black. Now how does that translate for a police officer? If someone hits an officer in the act of resisting arrest, well there wouldn't be an arrest to resist if the victim wasn't a police officer so you could argue that the person hit the officer because he was an officer, now we've turned every resisting arrest into a hate crime. This is stupid.

You know, shit like this is why I haven't been watching much NFL lately. This was on a very routine play, it really didn't look bad at all until he didn't get up but now he might be paralyzed. I still watch Titans games because I have an unreasonable emotional attachment to the team, and I'm kinda making up for lost time for all of the years I followed the team without being able to watch their games because I didn't live in the market, but I don't watch many other games because there's always a handful of hits that just make me cringe. The scariest thing is this play wouldn't have been one of them if I'd been watching the game live.

Which borderline playoff team has the most potential for a deep run?
oochymp posted a topic in General NFL Talk
We always see someone emerge from the mid-range teams to make a late-season push, this seems like a good time to start taking picks. Which team in the thick of the playoff fight do you think has the best shot at making a deep run? I was gonna put a poll on this, but I think it's more fun to leave it open ended, I'll just say avoid discussing actual favorites or you will be ridiculed, that's not what this thread is for. -
so where are all of the stones at this point? (as far as we know) Mind stone is in Vision's head Power stone is on Xandar with Nova Corps Space stone is with Loki Reality stone was last seen with the Collector, but hasn't appeared since Dark World and his place was blown up in the first Guardians, so this could be considered missing, right? am I missing something? Time stone is with Dr. Strange Soul stone we haven't seen, which means it's either in Wakanda or Thanos already has it anything I'm missing?

I don't remember looking at it that closely last year or where I came down at the time, looking at it now I would have some trouble going against PSU based on the conference championship and the head to head win, but then looking at other games OSU did have some strong wins last year, beating Wisconsin (#8 in the last pre-playoff CFP rankings, though admittedly PSU beat them as well), Oklahoma (#7), and Michigan (#6), PSU had similarly strong wins against Wisconsin and OSU, so it's a tough call
