From NE's perspective, the trade makes sense. It does not make sense from Minny's perspective. At all. Why would you give up one of the two things that's working in Minnesota?
-
What the? The G-men LOST at home to Seattle, and the Bills beat New England, the the Giants are favored? Then my upset pick is Buffalo over New York.
-
Not sure I trust your advice, since I'm playing you. But this was pretty much my thinking, anyway.

If the RB uses the facemask to throw someone to the ground, ala Plaxico, (yes I know he's a WR, but still work for my example), that's one thing. Otherwise... Seriously is there any penalty that the NFL doesn't fine for anymore? This would be like the NBA fining its players for a hard foul to keep someone from scoring. It's part of the game, quit fining people for it.

Carolina has denied interest in Lloyd. Hurney has said we are not talking with any teams about any players.

Two Steps from Hell- Heart of Courage. Or any of their stuff, really. Dragon Rider is also good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XstrpkqT6dw&feature=related

Obama getting tough on Iran

It's much better to go in, wipe out the government, and then get out immediately. But I know what you mean. -
Obama getting tough on Iran
Thanatos replied to WindyCitySports's topic in Politics, Religion & Science
Yes, because that worked out so well the last time the Arabs all got together and tried to wipe out Israel. Numbers aren't everything. Israel has been under constant attack, almost, from 1968 onwards. It does things to people, and they are more than capable of defending themselves. If Iran actually masses a ground invasion of Israel, I highly doubt A) they would win, B) the rest of the world would sit by and let them take it. Nor was I suggesting Israel would launch a ground assault on Iran. They would bomb the ever-living shit out of them. Israel has the better air force by far, the IAF is one of the best in the world. That is a huge point in their favor. There is no reason to go into Iran merely as a preemptive strike. Israel is more than capable of defending itself plenty long enough for us to come to their aid if there was an actual war, (in which Iran was the clear aggressor, otherwise, Israel should be left on its own). But for the love of God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, and whatever other deity you care to name, can we please not START another war. Let Iran make the first move. -
Dexter and Fringe. And I still like House, but it's gone way downhill. Though I haven't seen any of the new season, maybe they fixed some of that from what I've been hearing.

The article mentions that the Broncos are looking for a 3rd to 5th round pick. That's why I said the Panthers should be willing to give a 3rd-rounder. Also, if this trade does happen, to either team, might be worth giving him a look in fantasy if you have a roster spot and a need for a WR.

That was a very dirty hit. You're telling me that he gets the same fine as Haloti Ngata did when he caused Sanchez to fumble by hitting him square in the back? Wtf NFL.
-
Um, yes please? Give him to us for a 4th, heck even a 3rd, rounder. It's worth a shot.

I disagree with classifying people who shield themselves using innocent civilians, and routinely kill their own people, as the same as Americans who would simply "take up arms against a foreign invader." The better scenario would be something like- Imagine if America was ruled by a dictator that decided one race of his population- pick one- would be better off dead. And we could do nothing about it. A foreign nation comes in and ousts him. At first, we are grateful to them, but then they continue to remain in America under the guise of... And continue on with the rest of the speech. It's just not quite the exact scenario that this ad describes it to be. Taking out Hussein was a moral good for the world. It was not our responsibility to do so, and I disagree with the decision because of what I thought, and what it did, do to us, but from the world's standpoint, it was a good thing. Our handling of the aftermath is the horribly wrong thing. Can you summarize, or send me a link to something that directly contrasts Cain and Paul? My parents and sister are all for Cain, and I really feel like we cannot afford a guy who we have no idea what he would do once he's in office. He has zero political experience or track record so I know that what he says is or is not what he would actually do.

So do drunken red-neck hicks down in the South. We should take Iran about as seriously. -

If Iran ever becomes an actual threat, just tell Israel to take care of them. They are just waiting for an excuse. The US does NOT need to be involved in yet another war. -
Any team that has multiple wins of the sport's highest trophy is going to garner haters as well as followers. It also doesn't hurt that the Pats were embroiled in a controversy a few years back that in the eyes of some of those haters, makes their trophies won by cheating. (I don't believe that, personally, just pointing it out.)

It was bound to fail since Bangy started it.

Family lost in Mass. corn maze calls 911 for help

What if there's a serial rapist chasing you through the corn maze? -
Rams over Packers. You see, St. Louis matches up well with... um... Green Bay's cheerleaders. Yeah, they're gonna get slaughtered.

First- couple corrections for ya in your rankings: Panthers are 1-4, not 2-3 and Rams are 0-4, not 0-5. Oh and the Jaguars symbol is done by using the word Jags. He made a horrible throw last Sunday, not really forcing it, just totally misjudged where the route was going. Or maybe it was miscommunication. Other than that, he really cleaned up the errors. But yeah, I guess I see your point in the rest of the games. Still, if this is how he plays as a rookie... let's just say things are looking up. Also, this thread should be week *6* power rankings, no? Last week the topic was week 5 power rankings.
-
This is for people who do rankings. If you won't post your own, you don't get to comment on mine. (Only half-joking) Not like that, they haven't. They've been solid, but Brady been's leading them up and down the field. Against the Jets, the run-game just took over. Much to my fantasy team's disappointment, by the way. There, I softened the wording a bit. Discovered was a bit too harsh.

He does?

What do you mean it sucks? It's great news... for Carolina. It might get Atlanta back to running the ball, though. It could make them better or worse- if it makes them better, expect quite a few people to question why they gave up so many draft picks for him.
