At the end of the day I'm going off stats, facts and the eye test as well. Dalton 1 TD 6 Ints in the playoffs Marvin Lewis 0-7 playoff record ( 0-5 w/ Bengals ) Those numbers dont look good at all. You would expect with the caliber of the team they have, they would have at LEAST 1 win. Add in Dalton stats and it's not a big secret as to why they can't win. If Dalton gets praise for MVP talk based on the year he had, he can get the blame for the poor play in the playoffs prior as well. That's the way I see it. The Bengals are ok with Lewis leading them to a 1 and done. I can understand 2-3 years ( or times ) of having that outcome. But when it's been 5 straight, you have to wonder at that point. When is enough? Especially at how they lost this one! Steelers had a 3rd string rb in. And an injured Ben. Still couldn't win. They imploded at the end. I would have a higher standard for the team, and I'm not even a fan. I understand how talented they are but the QB play and head coach job, hasn't shown they can win when it matters. How can you argue that is my question?

When that qb is 0-4 in the playoffs, no. Everybody ripped Peyton Manning for the exact reason for a long time. For good reason too. Marvin Lewis is the only head coach in NFL History to have a 0-7 record for the playoffs. Your qb and head coach won't win you a championship.

My homeboy is a Bengals fan and I always give him shit about them. I tell him if they want to win a SB u need a better QB and Coach. You guys are the Peyton Manning of football teams. Good in the regular season but always choke in the playoffs. Yes there were some bad calls but even still.. you guys were down 15-0 for most of the game. Bengals are overrated to me, because I know once the postseason hits, they wont do nothing. Majority of people picked the Steelers to win as well. I get the divisional opponent game with hate and grit. But Burfict hit Brown, who was defenseless. Forget a helmet to helmet, when you are defenseless and get smashed like he did, easy call. My thing is if we all know Burfict is a known dirty player, why are people defending him? He was undrafted for that exact reason. No self control. If Beckham losing his shit against Josh Norman made people think he was dirty, what's the difference here with Burfict? Now the Steelers weren't all innocent either and had some dumb moves by their part. But not to the extent of the Bengals. Either way, with or without that last call on Pacman, the Steelers still had 22 seconds and were at the 32 yard line. All they needed was a quick pass and spike to still be in range to kick the gamewinner.

I would start Peyton as well. The run game has performed better with Manning than not with Manning. As long as Manning doesn't turn it over as much they have a good shot in the AFC, with that defense.

I'm with division winners getting a playoff berth. But not a home game. The 7-9 Seahawks won their division and beat the Saints. Bring the only sub 500. Team to win a playoff game. But they should have to go on the road to be in the playoffs.

I can get why he would be leaning towards retiring. He's been elite for so long, and he realizes how small the window is for winning a championship with the Lions.
