DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted August 9, 2011 Smith agrees with Tice that O-line is set Bears coach Lovie Smith stands behind the bold declaration made Sunday by offensive line coach Mike Tice, who said the unit is set with starters Roberto Garza, Lance Louis, Gabe Carimi, Chris Williams and J'Marcus Webb. Tice said the Bears would open the season on Sept. 11 with the five players as the starters, and that there’s no competition for starting roles at this point. Turry 755 Posted August 11, 2011 The Bears plan to start Roberto Garza at center unless there's a problem with one of the guards. The plan has to be written in light pencil because failed 2008 first-rounder Chris Williams is at left guard and first-time starter Lance Louis is at right guard. Former Seahawks center Chris Spencer would move into the starting lineup if Garza is forced to move. We're skeptical that the Bears have upgraded the O-Line at all.
