BLUE 1,026 Posted August 19, 2011 Per Rotoworld.com: Citing a person close to the Giants' defensive end, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Osi Umenyiora's Friday knee surgery could sideline him for "4-6 weeks or longer."The original timetable was 3-4 weeks, via Giants.com. Schefter did some digging, and the surgery may be more severe than the team suggested. The Giants were smart to avoid upgrading an injured Umenyiora's contract. They'll count on Jason Pierre-Paul to be an every-down player early in the season, and continue to use SLB Mathias Kiwanuka as a defensive end in the nickel package. Shotgun 442 Posted August 19, 2011 I guess that's why they didn't worry about his contract. The guys got no leverage.

ride or die redskins 8 Posted August 21, 2011 He is one player that I am VERY glad won't be on the field week 1 against the skins...Seems like he always terrorizes us.
