BLUE 1,026 Posted June 14, 2012 Per Rotoworld.com: The Texans have signed coach Gary Kubiak and GM Rick Smith to contract extensions.Their old contracts expired after the 2012 season. During his six years as head coach, Kubiak has gone 47-49 and guided the Texans to their first ever playoff berth last year despite a crippling injury to Matt Schaub. Smith's resume includes trading for Schaub, snatching up an undrafted Arian Foster and signing shadow corner Johnathan Joseph. It's not yet known how long the new deal will keep the duo in Houston. .AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted June 14, 2012 As soon as Wade Phillips leaves, they're gonna regret giving Kubiak an extension. Big time.

That'll only last so long til Wade wants to go be a HC again, which with his incredible success as the Texans DC, he'll eventually get.

No doubt Wade is a better DC than HC. He completely turned around the Texans defense. Remember they had one of the worst secondaries in NFL history 2 years ago. He comes in as DC and they instantly became a top 5 defense.
