Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 18, 2012 Citing team sources, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports Micheal Vick and OC Marty Morhinweg will keep their jobs as starting quarterback and play-caller respectively coming out of the bye in Week 8. As expected. Local and national media suspected Vick's job was in danger because coach Andy Reid used similar verbiage in describing his quarterback picture as his defensive coordinator position. Reid is squarely on the hot seat, however, and surely realizes Vick gives his team a better chance to win than untested rookie Nick Foles. The situation is eerily similar to 2008 when Donovan McNabb ultimately led the Eagles to the NFC Championship game after being pulled for Kevin Kolb at halftime of a mid-November game. There's never a shortage of premature grave-dancing in Philadelphia. Source: Jeff McLane on Twitter
seanbrock 1,684 Posted October 20, 2012 I'm just wondering why Any's butt buddy Mornhinweg wasn't canned either first or at the same time. The Eagles defense has played pretty well actually. They've played well enough to win every game this year if we'd had a competent offense. Our defense isn't quite as good as a 2008 Steelers squad, so you really have to be able to put more than 16 points on the board per game. Defense wasn't the problem here.
