Franchise 5 1 Posted October 22, 2012 Coach Mike Mularkey said he doesn't know how long Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) will be out. Mularkey made the comments immediately following Sunday's overtime loss to the Raiders. He said he doesn't know the extent of Jones-Drew's injury, but did say the walking boot was "precautionary." Jones-Drew watched the second half and overtime in street clothes while using crutches. Talented backup Rashad Jennings racked up 102 total yards and a touchdown in relief. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 22, 2012 I don't wish injury on anyone, and love Mojo. But I pray he is out at least one week.
Franchise 5 1 Posted October 22, 2012 Another injury for the Jags. Jaguars CB Rashean Mathis left Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Raiders with a groin injury.Mathis left in the third quarter and was unable to return. He was replaced in base formations by Aaron Ross, leaving rookie Mike Harris as the nickel back. Mathis does think he'll be able to play in next week's game against the Packers. http://jacksonville.com/sports/football/jaguars/2012-10-21/story/jaguars-notebook-penalty-injury-rashean-mathis

Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 22, 2012 And there goes the Jags offense... At least we have Rashad Jennings. Losing Blaine, if he's out for multiple weeks, screws us more (sounds weird saying that...) Anyway: Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) has already been ruled out for Week 8, and will likely be sidelined an "extended period." The word comes straight from coach Mike Mularkey. It's terrible news for fantasy owners, and even worse for a Jaguars team that struggled mightily in the absence of MJD and Blaine Gabbert in the second half on Sunday. Rashad Jennings is a must add in the few leagues he wasn't already owned in, and locked into a considerable Week 8 workload. Now the question is whether MJD's injury is of the Lisfranc variety. We can only hope it's not. Source: John Oehser on Twitter Jaguars FS Dwight Lowery (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 8. Lowery has a multi-week ankle injury -- probably a high ankle sprain -- although the Jaguars haven't specified. Either way, Jacksonville will continue to be without its top coverage safety against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Source: Vito Stellino on Twitter
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted October 22, 2012 *Jennings will be picked up in 99% of all FF leagues* Day after: *MJD will start this coming weekend for the Jags* Seems legit, and always to be the case. Lol
TDJacksonville 31 Posted October 22, 2012 Gabbert is More Important to our offense than MJD. thankfully Gabberts injury is to his Non-throwing shoulder
Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 22, 2012 ^ Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey was noncommittal Monday when asked whether Maurice Jones-Drew has a Lisfranc foot injury. Mularkey didn't say Jones-Drew for sure has a Lisfranc injury, either. Such an ailment would knock MJD out for the year. Mularkey did say Jones-Drew's injury is in the middle of his foot, which is where Lisfranc injuries typically occur. It sounds like the Jags are performing more tests and will know more by mid-week. Rashard Jennings will be this week's No. 1 fantasy waiver claim. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey expects Blaine Gabbert (shoulder) to be available for Week 8. The Jags won't know for sure until they get back Monday test results, but it sounds like Gabbert has avoided serious injury to his non-throwing shoulder. Per Mularkey, "there's a chance" Gabbert won't even miss any practice reps. Gabbert's status will be updated no later than Wednesday. Vin+ 3,121 Posted December 19, 2012 Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) will resume full-speed running Wednesday. Jones-Drew hasn't practiced since going down in Week 7. So the Jags aren't exactly optimistic he'll be able to help them against the Patriots on Sunday. "I'd be very surprised if he can run like we want him to run," coach Mike Mularkey said while continuing to call MJD questionable. We'll know more Thursday, but logic suggests Montell Owens will be the feature back once again this week. Source: Mark Long on Twitter
