American Horror Story: Asylum

Anyone else watch this? I'm still left wondering, is this a totally new story or will they play into last season too.

 

Last season of American Horror Story was pretty good.

I watch this with my wife. Was a fan of the first season. I don't think this ties into the first season. I think it's basically like a 'brand new horror story' using the same actors.

It's a separate story. I don't know how you didn't realize that when the Tate character from last season is in the opening scene as a married dude with brown hair and an accent living in the sixties.

 

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and X-Files are two of my favorite things in this life. That being said, I'm not sure I like the direction this season seems to be heading in. I loved the acting in the first season and I understand bringing a bunch of the cast back, but I don't like it at all. It really leaves me disconnected from the show when I am very aware that these are actors playing characters rather than just seeing the story unfold and not thinking about it.
