AL_Royalty 489 Posted October 24, 2012 NEW YORK (AP) -- Small ball has made its mark on the NBA All-Star ballot. The league announced Wednesday that it was dropping the center spot from the ballot in a nod to the way the sport has changed in recent years. Fans will vote for three frontcourt players and two guards, instead of two guards, two forwards and a center. NBA executive vice president of operations Stu Jackson says having a center on the ballot was ''outdated and not representative of today's game or players.'' He adds that players have become more versatile and ''this ballot will more accurately reflect that versatility.'' Teams like Miami (Chris Bosh), Boston (Kevin Garnett) and San Antonio (Tim Duncan) all used forwards as center with great success last season. The ballot comes out Nov. 13. Yahoo Best quote I've heard so far on this topic: If Roy Hibbert is starting, it's not an All-Star game -Tony Kornheiser Dude is the man. lol
blotsfan 2,112 Posted October 24, 2012 I like this. Its a dying position anyways. If you're good enough (Dwight) you should make it regardless
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted October 24, 2012 No surprise... Fear not NBA fans! Andre Drummond will bring the position back to its glory days!
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted October 25, 2012 I'm fine with it, the position is so weak that we don't need to send one automatically.
