Got my power back like two days ago. The rain wasn't bad in my area but the strong winds made up for the lack of rain. At one point on Monday night transformers were blowing so quick that it looked like there was lightning in the sky every couple of seconds.

 

The lines for gas are a couple cars long but not as bad as Jersey.

There was another one with its wings practically torn off.

I'm glad there was nobody in that 2nd plane, because I laughed at it for some reason. Looks like BC tried to fly a glider.

One of the Hurricanes that hit my area in 2004 split an island in half here. Another one ripped our porch off and sent it three blocks down into someone's living room. Another one snapped concrete pillars like twigs. Hurricanes are so routine to me, that I've even been outside in one before, being a drunken idiot. They're very annoying, but everyone here uses it as an excuse to cook out and party way too hard. But then you wake up and there's no A/C and it's insanely humid and hot everywhere and the party seems like a bad idea.
