oochymp 2,393 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) so this happened last night: https://vine.co/v/eeYdWiOhJZa Clint Dempsey taking the ref's booking sheet out of his pocket and ripping it in half, yes, he did get ejected for that and Seattle ultimately finished the game with seven players (they lost one to injury (I guess they'd already used all of their subs) and three to cards, the ref had to be escorted from the stadium by police Edited June 17, 2015 by oochymp
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted June 18, 2015 3 sides to a story but on the surface Deuce is being a dick. On to one of Deuce's former squads... Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is currently involved in a four-way vote battle to win the right to star on the front cover of EA Sports’ FIFA 16. Fans can choose between Kane, who scored 21 Premier League goal last season, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson and Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero. Henderson was the early leader in the vote yesterday, but that looks set to change after One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson called on his 19,700,000 Twitter followers to get behind Kane. Liverpool have a massive fanbase, but, sorry Reds fans, you will never win an online fight against a group of Directioners. Get ready for the photoshoot, Harry. It’s in the bag! oochymp 2,393 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) personally, I like these suggestions: oh, and regarding my previous post, apparently Dempsey could face up to a three month ban for "assaulting a ref" which under US Soccer Federation policy includes damaging the ref's uniform or personal property, I'd be surprised if they give him that much, especially with MLS heading into the meat of the season, but he could definitely get something in the 5-7 game range and that could have an impact the Gold Cup Edited June 18, 2015 by oochymp
Maverick 791 Posted June 18, 2015 Hendo doe >>>> Kane Dempsey has always struck me as being an asshole. I've always liked him playing for Team USA because he has that "American badass" image when he plays, but he's a dick. This just confirms it. I'm fine with a big punishment. You don't physically interact with the refs, especially ripping their book up. Set the precedent.

This just confirms it. yeah, it's kinda like rooting for Espindola on DC United, okay, he's an asshole, but he's our asshole, that said, he definitely crossed a line there, my understanding is that there were a lot of questionable calls, but going after the ref like that is still inexcusable

oochymp 2,393 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) MLS suspends Seattle Sounders' Clint Dempsey for three games following US Open Cup incident The Seattle Sounders will have to do without Clint Dempsey for the remainder of the month of June. Major League Soccer announced on Friday that Dempsey has been suspended three games and fined an undisclosed amount for his conduct toward a match official during a Lamar Hunt US Open Cup match against the Portland Timbers at Starfire Stadium on Tuesday night. MLS suspends Seattle Sounders' Clint Dempsey for three games following US Open Cup incident | MLSsoccer.com got off light if you ask me (three games is the minimum for 'Referee Abuse' per the US Soccer Policy Manual) unless there's further action taken he will be eligible for Gold Cup Edited June 21, 2015 by oochymp

oochymp 2,393 Posted June 23, 2015 on the Women's side, that was a nice win, the red to the Colombian keeper was huge, Friday is gonna be tough without Rapinoe tho, time for someone else to step up in the attack
Bangy 19 Posted June 23, 2015 Don't get me wrong, Henderson has come on leaps and bounds the last two seasons but there is no way in hell he deserves to be on the cover of the UK Fifa none. I'll be honest I'm surprised Kane is up there for it but he has had a monster year and deserves it. Unfortunately being on the cover of FIFA doesn't mean anything compared to the Madden cover hype.
