Bay 2,003 Posted May 27, 2016 Offense: San Jose slightly. Pitt may have the two best forwards in this series, but nobody is playing better offensively than Pavelski, Couture. Defense: San Jose. Nobody on the Pens can defend like Vlasic. Paul Martin, Burns, and the underrated Justin Braun easily beat Pitts D corp. Special Teams: Sharks powerplay is better, Pens PK is stronger. San Jose will do some damage on the PP me thinks. Goaltending: Basically a wash at this point. I think Murray has been better overall with a worse defense in front of him. Depth: Sharks. They are insanely deep. Not even funny. Losing Daley sucks for Pitt. Coaching: Slight edge to DeBoer. Puck possession: Pitt has better faceoff guys, both control play so well. Sharks forecheck is monstrous. Sharks cycle game is awesome to watch too. Gotta give the Sharks the edge. Sharks have the edge on paper. This series has to go 6 or 7. If someone can steal one of the road that will be enormous. Sharks in 6. Don't know if Thornton lets this opportunity slip away. Wouldn't mind the Pens winning either though I'd rather see SJ for reasons stated a tons of times. This is the SCF we deserved.
