FartWaffles 1,857 Posted June 28, 2016 http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/8357/rex-ryan Legendary coach Buddy Ryan has died. Ryan might be known to the younger generation as the father of Rex and Rob, but he was the architect of perhaps the greatest defense in NFL history. Running Ryan's patented "46" defense, the 1985 Chicago Bears allowed just 12.4 points a game in the regular season and a total of 10 points during their three-game run to a Super Bowl title. Ryan had some success as a head coach as well, leading the Eagles to three-straight playoff appearances in the late 80s. He was 82. R.I.P. to arguably the best defensive mastermind the NFL has ever had.
