ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted July 30, 2017 Seahawks first-round DT Malik McDowell may miss his entire rookie year after an offseason ATV accident. Coach Pete Carroll made the revelation on Sunday. The Seahawks were counting on McDowell to play a pivotal role as an interior disruptor in tandem with Michael Bennett, Jarran Reed, Ahtyba Rubin, and fellow rookie Nazair Jones. Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, McDowell suffered a concussion and undisclosed "facial injuries" during the pre-training camp ATV crash. Damn. McDowell was a questionable prospect to begin with... I know this was an accident but I believe the Seahawks reached on him to begin with...
Cherry 1,302 Posted July 30, 2017 When McDowell is on he's a fucking animal, but his off-field and consistency was always a huge concern. Obviously that isn't to say he made a mistake by riding an ATV, but it's gonna make his road to playing time difficult.
BC 331 Posted August 9, 2017 We might consider signing someone or even trading a '18 pick for a guy. We're one Jarran Reed / Attyba Rubin injury away from being a bad run defense. Bobby Wagner and Michael Bennett can't be everywhere all the time. This sucks pretty bad. Those corners we drafted, Shaquille Griffin, Mike Jones, and then that WR from Michigan Amara Darboh better absolutely tear it up. We are reliant on youth contributions.
