Kleinsasser plans to retire after the season

Recommended Posts

Per Rotoworld.com:

Vikings TE Jim Kleinsasser confirmed that he plans to retire after the 2011 season.

The Vikings had interest in bringing back the 34-year-old impending free agent, but Kleinsasser wants to walk away "with two legs that work great and my head is still intact." A team leader and plus blocker, Kleinsasser has 192 career receptions for 1,688 yards. Dec 23 - 8:29 AM

A sad farewell it will be to the epitome of a football player. Tough. Quiet. Doesn't talk shit to the media and never has. He's been a key part of this team for years, due to all the things he can do. He can play tight end, full back, and can cover on ST. Gonna miss you, Jimmy. Forever a Viking, forever a Fighting Sioux.

No!!!! :(

EDIT: This could be more devastating than AP's injury, since AP will probably come back.

Always been very underrated because he is a better blocker than he is a receiver, but he thrived outside of the spotlight. Very classy guy, and even though he is a rival of ours... I have the utmost respect for the guy.

Good luck in your future endeavors Jim!
