Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 27, 2012 I love Justin Blackmon. Great kid. Great player. I don't really understand what the Jaguars did by trading up to pick a player at a position that they have (before the draft) stocked up on. I think they could have traded back a couple picks and still wound up with a great player. Probably one in the secondary. Gabbert has no excuse to suck any longer. It's time to flash that potential he showed at Missouri. Especially with all these weapons he has now at his disposal. The only thing that worries me about Blackmon and his career.... Is the fact that he's a Jacksonville Jaguar.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted April 27, 2012 The only thing that worries me about Blackmon and his career.... Is the fact that he's a Jacksonville Jaguar. And this, really, is the biggest question mark. We could've drafted the so called safest player in the draft, and yet with us he'd probably be a bust. There's just something about Jacksonville that makes the majority of our first round picks suck. That Dude 3 Posted April 28, 2012 Like the picks.....the Anger pick was questionable to me at first but considering the poor performance we had at the position and the fact that we had no 4th round pick, i can understand because he definitely wouldn't have been there in the 5th
Vin+ 3,121 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Your standard Jacksonville Jaguar draft. Impact players in the first three rounds, role players in the later rounds. No complaints with any of the selections. Edited April 29, 2012 by Vin
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 29, 2012 Not a bad draft for the Jaguars. I did want to see them address the offensive line a little bit, but it was clear that they had other objectives. 1) Fix the defense 2) Find Gabbert a big-time legit #1 3) Replace Podlesh They did all three. Now we just have to sit back and see how it works out for them.
housemd 338 Posted April 29, 2012 I was a bit surprised they took a punter in the third, cause he would have probably been there in the fifth..But they filled a need with the best player available in that position..
