BLUE 1,026 Posted May 15, 2012 Per Rotoworld.com: Kyrie Irving was officially named the NBA's Rookie of the Year for the 2011-12 season on Tuesday. The voting was not unanimous. Kenneth Faried, Iman Shumpert and Kawhi Leonard each received a first-place vote, but 117 of 120 votes went to Irving. It was an easy decision given how good Irving was during his inaugural season, and the Cavs are hoping that he continues to blossom into a franchise player the team can build around. NaTaS+ 958 Posted May 15, 2012 Dude only played 11 games in college and is like 120lbs soaking wet and still played lights out his rookie year. I'm hoping we can add another very good piece in the draft and have a competitive squad again.

BwareDWare94 723 Posted May 20, 2012 Rubio would have fought for it had he stayed healthy, because the Wolves would have gotten a 6-8 seed, but Irving definitely deserved it.
