BLUE 1,026 Posted May 17, 2012 Per Rotoworld.com: Eagles LB Casey Matthews indicated that he now weighs in at 250 pounds, up 18 pounds from last year's listed weight.Beat writers noted that Matthews looked "huge" at workouts a few weeks ago. The added bulk should help Matthews in the run game, where he was too often washed out as a rookie. As the team's primary nickel backer down the stretch, though, the extra bulk could slow him in coverage. Matthews still projects as a situational player for 2012. No Spygate No Win 0 Posted May 17, 2012 Another year or so and he will be close to his brother in skills.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted May 18, 2012 Puts him in competition for the WLB job I suppose, though I still see Brian Rolle taking that down. Another year or so and he will be close to his brother in skills. Haha.

badgers 380 Posted May 18, 2012 Another year or so and he will be close to his brother in skills. Clay is an outside speed/power pass rusher guy. Casey is an inside run stuffer, not much pass rush. You won't be needing too many more pass rushers with Babin, Jenkins, Cox, and Cole on that DL. Two totally different players. Though he can be a stud with the right coaching, cuz he's definitely got the Matthews bloodline in him.

seanbrock 1,684 Posted May 19, 2012 LOL edit: won't be getting it here. Not at his position. Yeah, Reid has NEVER in his entire tenure drafted a LB and developed him into even a decent starter. Carlos Emmons, Trotter, Barber, and Spikes are all the best LB's we've had and none of them were coached by Reid or his staff. The Eagles really need to go out and find themselves a better LB coach.
