Thanatos 2,847 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) I just got an email in my account telling me that I had won a free apple ipad. It was purportedly from Google HQ, but it was via jangomail. I'm 95% sure this is a scam, though I can't find anything on the web about it atm. Just a heads-up for anyone else using gmail. Edit: And I found via google forums, this is confirmed as a scam. CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted September 30, 2012 Rule of thumb always for email is any time you've won anything free without ever doing anything or signing up for anything: It's a scam.

KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted October 4, 2012 While I appreciate your intent Thanatos, I highly doubt anyone on this board is stupid enough to fall for such an obvious scam.
