housemd 338 Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) On Thursday's SportsCenter, ESPN's Adam Schefter mentioned DeAngelo Hall as a prime candidate for offseason release. Schefter grouped Hall with Nnamdi Asomugha and James Harrison. "The Redskins are over the salary cap," Schefter explained. "... Hall is scheduled to make $8 million, that would come off the books for next season. He will be a candidate that the Redskins will look at to try to get back underneath the salary cap." Washington is about $4 million over the cap. Cutting Hall would get them under. Edited March 11, 2013 by RogerGoodellSucks

Vin+ 3,121 Posted March 16, 2013 The Redskins have left the door open for free agent DeAngelo Hall to return on a reduced salary. Beat writer John Keim also passes along buzz in the agent community that Hall is re-signing in Washington. "I heard they were bringing D-Hall back," said one agent, who reps a different corner. The Skins whiffed on Aqib Talib and Derek Cox in free agency. Hall should be an affordable fallback option, assuming he's willing to swallow his pride. The Redskins cut "MeAngelo" on March 11. Vin+ 3,121 Posted April 2, 2013 Redskins re-signed CB DeAngelo Hall to a one-year contract. Returning to Washington at a reduced rate was always a possibility, and the 29-year-old drew zero interest on the open market after being released by the Redskins three weeks ago. Hall started all 17 games last season and recorded 102 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and four interceptions. Teaming him up with Josh Wilson and E.J. Biggers forms a decent cornerback trio, and signing veteran CB Antoine Winfield isn't out of the question. Source: Washington Post

Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted April 2, 2013 Burnt toast still has a team. Good for him. I'm impressed he returned at a reduced rate, I mean this is the guy deemed "MeAngelo Hall" for a reason. Props Toast, props.
Duck Fallas 209 Posted April 3, 2013 It only took an almost $7 million paycut for him to find a new place to play. If the Redskins can convince him to play in the slot or even at FS, he could be a damn decent DB. He is just not a #1 corner any longer.
