Cole with a great debut and Alvarez went 3-3 with his 14th HR of the year. he also leads the team in RBI despite batting 6th and 7th this season. He leads the NL in home runs since June 11th last year. Move him to cleanup!

Nolasco shuts down the Cards to earn his 80th win of his career. This performance only helps his trade value.

Lol at losing a series to the Marlins. Fucking failures. I wish we could start a skid against good teams for once.

Pirates are playing good ball right now and head to Cincy for a 4 game series. Alvarez has 15 HR and elads the team in RBI. Grilli is 25/25 in saves. Jeff Locke is one of the best surprises in baseball so far, but he'll regress some.

Rays called up Wil Myers.

Mercer has been getting more starts than him lately and he's been hitting well. :megusta:

Fuck the reds and their constant throwing at our guys, especially Chapman. he is the last pitcher I would want in this league throwing at my head. I wish Clint Hurdle would whoop Dusty Baker's ass.

6 wins in a row! The Jays are just getting it done in anyway possible lately. Home runs? Check. Consistent pitching? Check. Clutch hitting? Check. Fielding is solid as well. We're still 3 games under .500, but we are 5 GB of the 2nd wild card. I'm hoping we can keep it up for a bit.

What the hell... I've seen Nathan Eovaldi pitch before and I thought he had an average fastball (92-93) around there. And his 1st start back he's throwing 97-99 lol.

Dan Victor @slydanno706mNate Eovaldi consistently in high 90's just punched out Montero with a 99 mph fastball. Looking very much like a future ace.

7 wins in row!!!

Our pitching continues to be phenomenal! Over the last 40 innings the Jays team ERA is 0.89 That's just incredible considering how we sucked hard early on.

The NL has 4 teams with 40+ wins and three of them are in the NL Central. The Cardinals and Reds are arguably the top two teams in the NL and the Pirates are probably a top 5 team in the NL. Meanwhile the Diamondbacks would be in 4th place in the Central.

This stat was brought up by Buster Olney on Twitter: Gerrit Cole threw eight pitches last night at 100+ MPH. All other starters in MLB this year have combined to throw just one (Matt Harvey).
