BLUE 1,026 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Per Rotoworld.com: Redskins signed WR Donte' Stallworth, formerly of the Patriots.Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan had already revealed the team's plan to sign the wide receiver, so this comes as no surprise. Stallworth spent most of 2012 on the street before signing with the Patriots. He played in one game, recording a 63 yard touchdown, before injuring his ankle and landing on injured reserve. With neither player providing any help on special teams, it's safe to assume they're directly competing for a spot. The Redskins are suddenly crowded at wide receiver. Dutch 874 Posted June 12, 2013 The Redskins have steadily been adding onto their WR corps. They haven't been signing all stars, but players that could possibly work in their system. They quickly decided they didn't need him. The team announced Wednesday that Henderson was released. The next logical question: Will Henderson wind up back in New Orleans? The Saints have been looking for help at receiver following the season-ending injury to projected No. 3 wideout Joe Morgan. That's a role that Henderson held with the Saints for many years, although the team was hoping to get younger at the position this season. (Henderson had only 22 catches for New Orleans last year.) Fifth-round rookie draft pick Kenny Stills is the favorite for the Saints' gig now, with veterans like Steve Breaston and Patrick Crayton recently added to the mix. Henderson was always a one-dimensional player, but he was very well liked within the organization as a smart, quiet team-first guy. It wouldn't be a shock if he returned to the team. That was quick.
