housemd 338 Posted September 1, 2013 Raiders waived QB Tyler Wilson. He'll likely be claimed off waivers shortly. Wilson, the 112th overall pick in April's draft, struggled with the mental side of the game in Raiders camp and fell behind undrafted free agent Matt McGloin. GM Reggie McKenzie is keeping McGloin, Matt Flynn, and Terrelle Pryor on the roster at quarterback. Representing Penn State, Matt McGloin, ladies and gentleman, No. 3 QB on Raiders depth chart
Vin+ 3,121 Posted September 1, 2013 Some more Jag's cuts: Jaguars waived DT Kyle Love. The Jaguars led the league with seven players claimed off waivers, so they're very much still in roster construction mode. Love is a former starter with the Patriots. The 26-year-old should continue to get looks around the NFL. Jaguars waived/released WR Jordan Shipley, DB Antwon Blake, TE Brett Brackett, OL Dan Gerberry, FB Lonnie Pryor, and LB Andy Studebaker. In addition to previously mentioned Kyle Love, these players go to make room for Jacksonville's league-high seven waiver claims. Shipley is now going on 28 years old. He was beaten out for the slot receiver job by Ace Sanders. Lonnie And some claims: Jaguars claimed LB J.T. Thomas off waivers from the Bears. Jaguars claimed C/G Jacques McClendon off waivers from the Falcons. Jaguars claimed WR Stephen Burton off waivers from the Vikings. One of Minnesota's toughest cuts, Burton had seven catches for 112 yards in the preseason and goes 6-foot-1, 224 Jaguars claimed DE/OLB Chris McCoy off waivers from the Eagles. Jaguars claimed TE Clay Harbor off waivers from the Eagles Jaguars claimed TE D.J. Williams off waivers from the Packers. Jaguars claimed S Winston Guy off waivers from the Seahawks. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 1, 2013 Hey, if you can't scout talent -- pick up everyone else's scraps. Jags are setting up the relocation so nicely.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted September 2, 2013 Per Rotoworld: Browns claimed RB Dennis Johnson off waivers from the Texans. One of this year's most hyped undrafted free agents, Johnson couldn't be landing in a better spot, as the Browns are extremely thin behind Trent Richardson. For now, Brandon Jackson is T-Rich's closest thing to a handcuff, but it wouldn't be shocking if Johnson got carries this season. He remains on the Dynasty league radar, though he's not an elite prospect. Source: Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter Damn you Cleveland!!!
Socal 524 Posted September 2, 2013 Only real surprising move, IMO, was cutting LB Terrell Manning. Still expect Starks to be gone soon. Nice work Ted. Chargers picked up Manning JD shook...
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Lol, nah. He's looked like a "bust" so far. Packers barely even let him on the field after expecting him to be the next big play maker at ILB. Cleveland claimed a Center we were trying to stash onto our PS though, which kind of pisses me off. Edited September 2, 2013 by Favre4Ever
