BLUE 1,026 Posted January 10, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell expects Blaine Gabbert to return to the roster in 2014. Unless this is just GMSpeak, the Jaguars apparently like Gabbert as a backup. "At the very least he’s a very good backup and he’s under contract, so there’s no reason why not to keep him here," Caldwell said. "There’s no downside. ... We would like to have him back. We feel that he’s under contract and he’s made great strides this year. You guys probably haven’t seen a lot of it because it’s been mostly through our practice." Not probably. Caldwell also said in the same PC that it's unlikely that we'll keep Blaine once Henne re-signs, so if he's still on the roster by the time next season rolls around, I'll be surprised.
