Brandon Marshall signs $30M deal on 'The View'

Recommended Posts

Bears signed WR Brandon Marshall to a three-year, $30 million extension through 2018.

In what we believe is a first, Marshall signed his deal live on the daytime talk show "The View." The extension is tacked onto the $9.3 million he was previously owed in 2014, putting Marshall on the books for $39.3 million over the next four seasons. The "new money" includes $23 million guaranteed. It's a ton of coin for a sometimes mercurial player on the wrong side of 30, but Marshall has certainly earned it with on-field dominance. Since joining the Bears two years ago, he's averaged 109 catches for 1401.5 yards and 11.5 touchdowns per season. With Bromance partner Jay Cutler and quarterback whisperer Marc Trestman locked in place, we don't see a letdown coming anytime soon. May 19 - 12:14 PM

For a second there my drunk ass thought he signed up to be part of "The View." Four annoying bitches and Brandon Marshall tackling news stories with opinions no one gives a shit about.

Good signing though.

Lots of guaranteed money given his age but can't deny his production TD wise. May have drops here and there but he's still a really good WR who can dominate at times. One of the best run blocking WRs too.

He accomplished three things with this signing: 1. He got PAAAIIID, 2. He gave charitably to fight mental health, 3. He was seen in public with four women who he wasn't beating the crap out of. Way to go B-Marsh. :thumbup2::clap:

All jokes aside though, he deserves a payday. The guy just flat out produces, and furthermore, they should make Cutler pay him a portion of his salary for Marshall bailing his busted ass out all of the time.

Marshall has really turned around and has been a class act for several years now. He is also one of the top elite WRs in the game and definitely deserved this pay day.
