BLUE 1,026 Posted March 10, 2015 Per Rotoworld.com: 49ers signed WR Torrey Smith, formerly of the Ravens, to a five-year, $40 million contract that includes $22 million guaranteed. This deal has been in place for a couple days. Smith gives Colin Kaepernick what he's desperately been missing outside: a speed threat who can run by a defensive back and score a long touchdown. In San Francisco, Smith will reunite with his mentor Anquan Boldin and stretch the field for he and Vernon Davis. Kaepernick's big arm and Smith's blazing speed should complement each other. Bucman 891 Posted March 10, 2015 Meh dunno about this deal. Smith is a decent WR, but 22 million guaranteed seems high.
Dutch 874 Posted March 11, 2015 Yeah, not sure if Torrey is a legit #1 guy. Solid #2 guy but not sure if he can handle what comes with being a #1 guy coverage wise. The deal is a little pricey imo too
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted March 11, 2015 Overrated WR that can only run streaks and likes to drop passes. Bad signing at that price, imo.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted March 12, 2015 Too high of a price for a guy who's invisible in so, so many games.
Sacks98 28 Posted March 13, 2015 Does this mean Crabtree is most likely gone? I thought he would be a priority for the 49ers unless there is something going on behind the scenes with him.

Raiders are gonna sign Crabtree to make things right. Doubt anything is going on behind the scenes though. Crabtree just sucks
Dutch 874 Posted March 14, 2015 Always liked Crabtree and thought he could be much more. After his breakout year and that injury, not sure if he's the same guy. I can only hope that I'm wrong.
