I was waiting in the barbershop the other day when I saw Rodgers on the cover of the latest SI mag so I decided to pick it up. SI did a big piece on him (he's my favorite non-Cowboy in the league). Some think this was a shot at Christianity in general, but it wasn't. Aaron's actually a pretty devout Christian he just isn't very vocal about it. Rodgers has been asked in the past what he thinks of athletes who credit God for wins and losses, and he doesn't think much of it. He knew exactly what he was doing and watching the video of him saying it trying to hold in a smirk is hilarious. <3 Rodgers
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 21, 2015 Yes, if there is anyone that thinks Aaron made that comment as a shot against all of Christianity , they are just extremely ignorant . Aaron just hates people using God like Russell Wilson has and he's been very consistently against it. It's not like the packers won so he felt he could get a jab in. When Jordy went down , somebody made a comment about that being Gods will or something and it really pissed Aaron off as well. And that SI article was pretty great wasn't it? I made a thread about it in the nfc north section. Even in that article Clay makes fun of Russell Wilson and his misguided thoughts.
PackIsBack 124 Posted September 22, 2015 Although he comes across as a complete idiot, it's generally horrifying how many people in general believe that a correlation (like this water) is a direct cause of the result. Nearly half of Americans think horoscopes are a legitimate science...need I say more? Thankfully he's only responsible for playing on a football team and nothing else.
