Ole Miss shouldn't be in. What the hell is that BS.

SEC bias I assume. I completely support Oregon making it. No reason TCU shouldn't be in over Ole Miss though. Given that USC and Oregon traded losses it'd be unfair to really say they're both bad 1-loss teams. I guess TCU's schedule was just way too weak to have a fair argument. Baylor had a down year and most other big12 teams played like shit. TCU was a 26-point favorite over a 4-3 Oklahoma State at one point.

FSU got blown out by Miami. :yao:

That shocked me. They should've been the #2 team with Oregon and USC on their ass. Just a choke of epic proportions. Surprised a 10-2 Miami wasn't ranked though. Even more shocked that they are only #24 despite an 11-2 record and an asswhooping on Noles.

Typical CSU bowl game....the struggle is real.

To be fair they had us beat in every spot except for QB, FS, and DE. Had 3 green WRs. An-all green defense. Meanwhile we're on scraps at offensive line and our WRs aren't THAT good. I'm just pissed at the DBs falling apart in the 4th quarter. The run defense played godly.

2016 season

Weeks 1-6. Training Camp

Yearly expectations

The alumni expect a competitive showing in the conference, and a finish somewhere around 4th or 5th. They expect to be around .500 in conference games, and would like to have a good recruit class this year. Last years recruit class was ranked 74th overall.

Star Players

Senior QB Tyler Myers 54 OVR

Senior RB Peter Velez 60 OVR

Senior WR Marvin Barker 59 OVR

Senior WR Leonard Schmidt 60 OVR

Junior OT Frederick Calderon 60 OVR

Junior DE Norman Gonzalez 61 OVR

Senior CB Gerald Chapman 60 OVR

Schemes

Colorado State has changed from a mainly passing attack based offense to a West Coast offense with lots of running plays at their disposal. They've also switched their 4-2-5 defensive scheme with Thomas Garcia over the top to a 3-3-5 scheme that allows more linebackers to get involved.

Schedule

*Denotes an away game

Week 1. UTEP

Week 2. Florida International

Week 3. *Eastern Michigan

Week 4. Nevada

Week 5. San Diego State

Week 6. *Boise State

Week 7. *New Mexico

Week 8. Bye

Week 9. Air Force

Week 10. *Wyoming

Week 11. *San Jose State

Week 12. Utah State

Week 13. Bye

Week 14. Bye

Week 15. *Colorado

Cherry's guess: 6-6. The first 5 games should be relatively easy but the schedule gets progressively harder from there. Boise State is a guaranteed loss. Air Force is very talented. Utah State is bringing back former heisman candidate James Jackson. The game at Colorado is very intimidating.

2. Auburn

3. Florida State

Lel, the most realistic part of this game is the SEC bias. :yao:

Seriously, how is the reigning champ (USC) not even in the Top 10?

I'd probably say it's because they had 3 or 4 underclassmen declare along with losing their heisman QB.

Yeah the SEC bias is real. Hopefully TCU kills the Big12 hard enough to make it. I honestly think Utah State could make a run this year if Boise State doesn't stop them. James Jackson returned for a another year.

UTEP @ Colorado State (Preview)

The Rams open up as a 9-point favorite in their season debut against the UTEP Miners. The weather is expected to be borderline 70s with clouds out. The pleasant temperatures suggest a good showing from the Colorado State fans for the game. The game should be an easy victory for a now healthy Tyler Myers, but the Rams aren't guaranteed anything.

Cherry discusses expectations

"We're fired up. We don't mean to send these guys out the same way as last year. We're working to build a culture here, and winning will be a part of that. The freshmen will mainly be redshirted. The seniors will lead the way each year. We're building a 5-year program to turn boys into men, and win championships. These guys know we're not there yet, but they also understand that it takes a lot of work and effort to get there. We have to work a day at a time and focus on our next opponent each week."

The Rams come in as a 7-point favorite on the road, with temperatures expected to be in the high 60s on a somewhat cloudy Michigan day. Analysts believe that while the teams are very evenly matched on offense, the Rams have a huge advantage on the defensive side of the ball. If Tyler Myers has a productive day, the Rams should win by double digits.
