Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted January 8, 2018 Nagy, 39, replaces John Fox, who was fired after posting a 14-34 record in three seasons. The Bears interviewed five candidates before meeting with Nagy on Sunday, the day after the Chiefs' playoff loss to the Tennessee Titans. Nagy spent the last 10 seasons coaching under Andy Reid in Philadelphia and Kansas City. Reid promoted Nagy to Chiefs offensive coordinator this year -- Nagy served as Kansas City's co-offensive coordinator in 2016 -- and officially relinquished playcalling duties to the young assistant late in 2017. Kansas City won four in a row to close out the regular season before Saturday's collapse against the Titans. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22003971/chicago-bears-name-former-kansas-city-chiefs-offensive-coordinator-matt-nagy-head-coach
seanbrock 1,684 Posted January 9, 2018 If he's the one behind some of those awesome misdirection runs this could be an awesome hire with the backs they have. Bears have a long way to go before they're back in contention in the NFCN but who knows? We seem to see at least a couple teams go from worst to first every year. That's a tall order with 2 power house teams in the division and the Lions, who are on the cusp with one of the better QB's in the game.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Nagy: "I called every single play in the second half ... that there was a learning situation for me" ^ In regards to the Chiefs playoff loss. Great hire, Bears. Edited January 9, 2018 by Olenna4Ever
