FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 19, 2011 1. Trade up for Patrick Peterson: I've heard Peter King is floating this rumor around, but I don't see it happening. Although I would love Peterson in Houston, the switch to the 3-4 means the Texans need to value every draft pick they have. They simply don't have enough personnel for the switch yet, so if they do any trading I'd expect it to be trading down for more picks. (Typical Rick Smith move) 2. Quinton Carter: Love this pick. Houston desperately needs to upgrade the safety position, especially with them cutting Eugene Wilson and not re-signing Bernard Pollard. 4. Jerrell Powe: Nose tackle is certainly another need for Houston, but when are they going to take a rush linebacker? That's possibly their biggest need at the moment in the switch to a 3-4. 5. Stephen Schilling: The Texans are actually pretty solid at Guard, and if they address adding depth on the o-line I personally think they'd look for someone who could play right tackle behind Eric Winston. It's a pretty solid mock for the Texans, but like I said earlier a rush linebacker opposite Connor Barwin is a huge need for this team. They could possibly draft two of them within the first four or five rounds.

I did this thing assuming that they were playing him at OLB next year. But I got a little caried away and forgot about getting an olb. I'd be PISSED with that draft class for the Bucs. I'd Rage. EDIT: I'd love to get Brandon Harris in the 2nd...but everything else I hate. Just sayin'. I know a lot of Bucs fans who are apposed to Clayborn, not sure why, but it was b/w Clayborn and Bowers, and something is just telling me Clayborn might end up being the guy on draft day. Connor Barwin is expected to be one of the outside edge-rushers, but the Texans badly need to draft someone that can start opposite of Barwin come Week 1. BucD+ 648 Posted April 21, 2011 (edited) I know a lot of Bucs fans who are apposed to Clayborn, not sure why, but it was b/w Clayborn and Bowers, and something is just telling me Clayborn might end up being the guy on draft day. He has that one year wonder thing goin' with the big drop off in production his senior year. He has some off the field question mark issues along with looking lazy on tape. He has one arm longer than the other from his collar bone breaking as a baby and in that same arm/shoulder he has the whole Erbs Palsy thing which causes his arm to go weak at times. He can't even do a standard bench press with the bar...he has to use dumbbells...and because of the Erbs Palsy and one arm being shorter than the other he's restricted to playing only on the right side of the line. Too many question marks for me...especially in the first-round. I'll be at Ray Jay at the annual draft party thing they do in the stadium and I'll be raging if I hear Clayborn's name when we pick and I guarantee I won't be alone lol. I have the gut feeling that Dominik won't take him, but that's me...I could easily be wrong. EDIT: Also...Every player we have drafted in the first-round we have brought in for a visit/workout. They have not brought in Clayborn for either and I am pretty sure today was the last day teams could bring in players for pre-draft visits/workouts. Just sayin'. I actually had no idea that he never visited with Tampa Bay. That might be an indicator that he's not the pick. If that's the case then it'l probably end up being Houston assuming he's there. BucD+ 648 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) I've been looking into Clayborn's "red flags" more and apparently it isn't as bad as I thought. Especially the character issues. I've seen some recent vids of interviews with him and he has never really had any issues during games with the arm/shoulder (Erbs Palsy) and apparently the only way it affects him is in the weight room where he does a bench with dumbbells instead of with the bar. Clayborn, the coaches and doctors (same with Bowers) are the only ones that know the entire truth and extent of it so we'll see. As far as his Senior season drop off in production, it apparently had a lot to do with the scheme they were running at Iowa and what they were asking Clayborn to do along with getting doubled etc. a lot more. I trust Dominik at this point so if he does take him at 20 maybe I wouldn't be as upset as I once thought....unless Jordan, Smith or Kerrigan are still on the board and we still take Clayborn...then I'd be pissed. Lol We'll see though. Edited April 25, 2011 by BucD

DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted April 26, 2011 yea, I didn't/don't wont to hype him up too much, but I was reading from an article on how he's actually one of the safest picks in the first, you can't go wrong either way, but I just think Clayborn bring more versatility to the Bucs defense then Houston, and idk if the Bucs are willing to take a risk at Bowers. After hearing about Houston pissing hot during the drug testing at the Combine I hope we stay far and away from Houston. If Smith, Jordan and/or Kerrigan aren't there at 20 (most likely not) and we don't trade up for either of those guys I am warming up to the idea of taking Clayborn at 20. Apparently when he came in for a visit, before and after, they were digging deep into his life. Talking to HS coaches and his family etc etc.
Barracuda 629 Posted April 27, 2011 I like the Browns draft good job. Trade with the Texans could be likely and I like JJ Watt. However, I'd take Jonathan Baldwin over Torrey Smith. Jurrell Casey(but you have him going to the Rams in the next round also/mistake I'm guessing.) and Romeus are some draft sleepers in my book and would make good additions. I also don't think we'd take 2 cornerbacks.
