BLUE 1,026 Posted April 26, 2011 Per Rotoworld.com: FOX Sports' Jay Glazer and Alex Marvez report that Georgia DE/LB Justin Houston tested positive for marijuana at February's Scouting Combine.Iowa DL Christian Ballard also failed his test. Ballard already faced question marks about minimal production for his talent, while Houston is regarded as inconsistent on tape. The failed tests will likely keep both out of the first round, although Houston's elite explosiveness and upside should keep him in round two. Ballard may be an end-of-the-second-day pick at this point. Source: FOX Sports Apr 26, 9:50 AM
Shotgun 442 Posted April 26, 2011 What a dumb ass. Dude just made a multi-million dollar mistake and for what, to get high one night? Talk about a bad decision maker.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 26, 2011 Yeah, you have to be pretty stupid to smoke or do any kind of drugs when you know you will be testing at the combine. With that said... I don't really care about using pot as long as the player takes their jobs seriously and they have their priorities straight.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 26, 2011 And there goes any chance of the kid going in the first round.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted April 26, 2011 He should still go in the first, he's good.
BucD+ 648 Posted April 26, 2011 He was a guy I was hoping the Bucs would take in the first...now? FUCK THAT! We have enough going on with T-Jax and Talib...fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. I'd rather take Clayborn.
BLUE 1,026 Posted April 27, 2011 Per Rotoworld.com: Len Pasquarelli of the Sports XChange reports that at least two teams have bumped Justin Houston's grade down to the third round after he tested positive for marijuana at the Combine."But even before (the drug report), we didn't have a first-round grade on him," said one NFC personnel chief, who suggested Houston is a classic 'tweener end/linebacker. Houston was reportedly suspended for violating Georgia's substance abuse policies in 2009, as a sophomore. We still think he'll be a second-rounder, but the first round now appears out of reach entirely. Source: CBS Sports Apr 27, 3:46 PM
