BLUE 1,026 Posted April 27, 2011 Per Rotoworld.com: Multiple scouts and GMs tell CBS Sports' Clark Judge that Patrick Peterson will likely end up at safety "in three to four years."We've noticed in Peterson's games that he struggles in space, particularly when playing "off" receivers. He's far from a true shutdown corner when giving any kind of cushion. At 219 pounds, Peterson will immediately be the heaviest corner in the league. This isn't to say Peterson will be an ineffective player; he could be plenty dominant at free safety after the switch. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 27, 2011 Well obviously he's not going to be perfect. That's what coaching is for! I think the media is blowing up Peterson's weight way out of proportion. He's going to be a cornerback, and a damn good one to top it off. His struggles when giving a cushion can be fixed with proper coaching.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) If he is only going to be playing 3 years at the position he is drafted at... why the hell is he rated so high? Edited April 27, 2011 by Favre4Ever
Barracuda 629 Posted April 27, 2011 He won't be a safety he'll be a corner and like Fartwaffles said a damn good one.
Shotgun 442 Posted April 27, 2011 I wonder if this reasoning is why Parcells has Amukamara rated above Peterson.
seanbrock 1,684 Posted April 27, 2011 He's big but he's also both fast and quick. People have been comparing him and Antrel Rolle, but he's much more athletically gifted.
