housemd 338 Posted September 25, 2011 -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has set the NFL record for most yards passing over a three-game stretch. Brady set the mark with a 23-yard completion to Wes Welker in the third quarter against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It gave Brady 1,258 yards passing through three games to break the mark set by New Orleans' Drew Brees , who had 1,257 in 2006. Welker's reception gave Brady 318 yards passing against the Bills. It's Brady's 37th 300-yard career game, moving him into ninth place, one ahead of John Elway. Brady has also thrown three touchdowns against Buffalo to give him 271. That puts him two short of tying Joe Montana for ninth place on the NFL list.

RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 25, 2011 Lot of good that did him, I'm sure he'd rather take the win and a few of those INT's back instead of the yards.
BradyFan81 404 Posted September 25, 2011 He also had 4 picks and lost. Congrats on the amazing record! Lulz. Got pretty unlucky, 2 of them were tipped, the other was a terrible route by chad. Only 1 that you can put on him.

That streak he had last year without throwing a pick was one of the luckiest in sports.
housemd 338 Posted September 25, 2011 Bills played a better game, with 3 TD by Fitzpatrick, who remained great...those yds by Brady just weren't enough...

Everybody is saying that I'm making excuses for the interceptions but finally somebody agrees. Woodhead tipped a catchable ball that turned into an interception. Not Brady's fault. Ocho let a corner undercut his route and he ran the route pretty poorly himself. Not Brady's fault. Gronkowski was in tight coverage and the ball wasn't placed well. Totally on Brady. The offensive line let the defensive line surround Brady and they tipped the ball when he threw it. Not Brady's fault. Yes, ultimately they were interceptions, so you can put them on him, but only 1 was purely on him.
