Site-Wide Policy Change Regarding Trolling At TGP

It has come the attention of Vin, myself, and the entire staff here at TGP that intense trolling and constant harassment has become a huge issue.

 

To us, this problem is of the utmost importance to resolve in a quick and seamless manner. Not only to make the atmosphere more comfortable for new members signing up, but also our long term members who we value dearly.

 

The community here at The Gridiron Palace is easily one of our biggest strengths. And we don't want to violate that by allowing the level of trolling we are seeing to escalate to irreparable means.

 

One of our jobs here at TGP as members, mods, admins, and owners... Is to protect that community. And we intend to do that.

 

Thus, in the coming days, weeks, and beyond... We will be taking a much more strict approach regarding the Terms of Service and trolling.

 

We understand that there are a lot of conversations on a daily basis that include ribbing and jokes back and forth.

 

Alas, there is usually a point in those conversations that go from funny and friendly and cross the line to malicious and downright mean. This is what we want to work toward eliminating in the long-run.

 

Every one of us has room for improvement, including myself, and we hope that today marks the change of that behavior for all of us.

 

We challenge all of you to better yourselves, and in the process, better TGP.

And there may be situations where the mods need to use their best judgement and stop a certain conversation before it reaches the critical point.

 

If this happens... please do not give them any attitude. They have the authority, from Vin and I, to use their best judgement in stopping those types of situations not only when they arise, but before they are able to arise.

 

If you have a problem regarding a certain conversation, please send Vin or I a PM and we will get back to you ASAP. Whether you are right or wrong, we will not tolerate mod bashing of any kind, especially publicly.
