MLB 2012 Regular Season thread

Red Sox are about to shift into beast mode. Ellsbury's back, Buchholz is back, Pedroia will be back soon, Middlebrooks is back. Crawford will be back Monday too (not sure if that's a good thing though).

Just need Lester and Beckett to get their shit together. Catching the Yankees probably isn't gonna happen but we should get a WC spot easily. Way too much talent on this team.

Andrew McCutchen now has 48 hits in his last 100 at bats. That’s the highest hit total for any player over a span of 100 at bats since Matt Holliday compiled a 48-for-100 stretch for the A’s and Cardinals in 2009.

Coming into tonight's game, Mike Trout led the AL in BA (.348), Mark Trumbo in slugging (.625). Trout is 2 for 2. Trumbo has a HR and a 2B. Quite a young combo they have out there.

I am getting so pissed off... lol

The offense, for the most part is doing it's part. We have one of the best and most explosive lineups in the NL... The pitching, while not amazing has been getting better... Yet, we still find ways to lose.

We strand SO MANY RUNNERS that it makes me sick. We could and SHOULD be 5 - 0 after the break. Nope... 1 - 4 because we don't take advantage of these GREAT situations we find ourselves in.

Happens again.. Lose a 1 run game after Berkman flies out with bases loaded in the 9th... Sigh.

I would rather get blown out...

McCutchen has .531 avg in July? That dude is insane..

Indeed, but the 1.594 OPS is even more impressive.

With the production the Yankees have been getting in Left Field between Ibanez and Jones he really won't be missed in that lineup. In the field is where he is missed. :yep:
