Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 5, 2012 Although I guess technically this season should be called Clash of Kings. Anyone else seen the first episode yet? Just as good as it was last season.
KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted April 5, 2012 Lots of new characters introduced (if you didn't read the books, which I didn't). It's going to be another great season. I'm halfway through reading A Game of Thrones.
Shotgun 442 Posted April 5, 2012 I haven't actually seen most of the first season, but if they stay true to the book this season will be pretty bad ass.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 5, 2012 I haven't actually seen most of the first season, but if they stay true to the book this season will be pretty bad ass. Storm of Swords will be even moreso. And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know. In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws, And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere, But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear. Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear. That entire scene always gives me the chills reading it. Lots of new characters introduced (if you didn't read the books, which I didn't). It's going to be another great season. I'm halfway through reading A Game of Thrones. Melisandre is perfect, (Stannis' red-haired priestess- I don't remember if they named her in episode 1 or not). She completely throws a wrench into how A Song of Ice and Fire is generally viewed. Davos Seaworth, the Onion Knight, was fantastic. Crastor was just as creepy as he was in the books. Great episode. You can see Joffrey start to spiral out of control as well.

Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 5, 2012 Was that the guy who is with Stannis? The one who had his fingers cut off? Yup, that would be him. I'm sure they'll explain why, so I won't spoil it for ya.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted April 5, 2012 I'm looking for more interactions between the people of Dragonstone.
GA_Eagle 595 Posted April 5, 2012 Pretty stoked for the season. The first episode was kind of a check in on all the characters and see what happened to them in the break and refresh our memories. Love A song of Ice and Fire series. If you like the show the books are great.
RANGA+ 1,210 Posted April 6, 2012 Leaked second episode was awesome! They need to spend more time on the Arya story arc though...
Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) Leaked second episode was awesome! You could most definitely post a link to that. Edited April 6, 2012 by Thanatos19

Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 6, 2012 Why do they call him the onion knight? I'm pretty sure they're going to explain this. He broke the siege of Dragonstone by bringing food to them with his smuggling ships- mostly onions. Stannis knighted him for it, the other "high-born" knights don't appreciate that he won his knighthood by bringing them onions, so Onion Knight is a derogatory title to them. KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) Thank you. Interesting. Edit: Just had a MAJOR spoiler revealed to me. Basically learned what started this whole civil war and conflict. Edited April 6, 2012 by KiLaSix9
Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 6, 2012 Thank you. Interesting. Edit: Just had a MAJOR spoiler revealed to me. Basically learned what started this whole civil war and conflict. Not sure what you're referring to here. You mean about the Targaryens?
KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted April 6, 2012 Not sure what you're referring to here. You mean about the Targaryens? No. How Littlefinger is the one who convinced Catelynn sister to poison Jon Arryn and send the raven to Winterfell that put the Starks against Lannisters. So he is basically responsible for the way everything unfolded and spiraled out of control. It was all his plan to get Catelynn. Oh and then how he falls for Sansa. Sick dude. Wow, that's not revealed until A Feast for Crows, iirc.
KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted April 7, 2012 Ah yes. Wow, that's not revealed until A Feast for Crows, iirc. Yeah I figured he revealed something that I wouldn't have found out till deep in the show. I was kinda annoyed by the spoiler even though I know he didn't do it intentionally.
Bangy 19 Posted April 8, 2012 I haven't read the books yet but I so so hope that Joffrey gets fucked up and Tyiron survives as he is funny as hell to me. Just started my catch up on the first two episodes
RazorStar 4,025 Posted April 16, 2012 3rd episode came out last night. That last scene was amazing, Arya really gets some of the best characterization in the series.
KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted April 16, 2012 I wonder how Tyrion plans to get Jaime back. Maybe in exchange for Sansa's safe exit out of King's Landing?
Guest Phailadelphia Posted April 17, 2012 So am I the only one who wants Daenerys Targaryen to raise the dragons and destroy everything? Cause that sounds pretty awesome.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 17, 2012 So am I the only one who wants Daenerys Targaryen to raise the dragons and destroy everything? Cause that sounds pretty awesome. Definitely not. I've been rooting for Targaryen to win since the whole thing started. Melisandre just throws a wrench in everything. I'm not certain where she actually gets her power. If it truly is from R'hllor, then... but I'm guessing its not.
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted April 18, 2012 Everyone keeps telling me I need to see this show. However, I have no clue what it's about. Anyone care to enlighten? If it sounds good I'll probably watch Season 1.
