Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 22, 2012 What a crazy series that was...looking forward to playing Washington (hopefully) next round. Wouldn't you guys be playing the winner of Devils/Panthers? http://www.nhl.com/ice/stanleycup.htm
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted April 22, 2012 Flyers in 6 or 7. Philly owns Pittsburgh in their own building.
oochymp 2,393 Posted April 22, 2012 Wouldn't you guys be playing the winner of Devils/Panthers? http://www.nhl.com/ice/stanleycup.htm the NHL doesn't run a straight playoff system, in the second round the highest remaining seed plays the lowest remaining seed and the middle two seeds play each other, so if the Panthers, Senators, and Caps all advance (each lead their series right now) the Panthers (3 seed) would play the Sens (8 seed) and the Flyers (5 seed) would play the Caps (7 seed)

So they're like the NFL. Thanks for the info. Edited April 22, 2012 by Thanatos19

Maverick 791 Posted April 23, 2012 lmao Definitely going to be the funnest series of the first round. I voted the Flyers cause I hope they do everything you said, but I'm actually thinking Pens in 7...unfortunately. At least injure some guys. lolme. I must say, Philly is looking to be a huge title contender with this win. If they're defense performs almost to the standard of yesterday's game, they'll be in good shape. SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 23, 2012 If our defense plays like it did yesterday, we can beat anybody. The problem is, they've only played that well once. The potentially good news is that the rest of the Eastern Conference is shaping up well. If the Rangers, Bruins, and Devils all get knocked out...what a dream scenario. We'll see what happens. Higher seeds are dropping like flies (excluding DevilsvPanthers because NJ was favorite).
